Oliver's Story.
At 6 months old Oliver was diagnosed with Plagiocephaly a flattening of part of the skull.
Left untreated this could in later life have resulted in playground taunts, lingering emotional distress into adulthood, or medical complaints such as headaches and eye, ear and jaw problems. The MSF funded the provision of a specially fitted helmet which Oliver wore for 23 hours each day for several months. The helmet retained the natural shape of most of his skull whilst gently encouraging the 'flat' part to develop properly. At a total cost of only £1,850 the support from the MSF at such an early age has eased the worries of his grateful parents and ensured that Oliver can look forward to a happy and healthy life.
Oliver remains the youngest applicant ever supported by the MSF showing that you are never to young to need our help.
